ABSTRACT: Exploring the integration of AI in vocational training for construction represents a significant advancement in preparing students for the future of the construction industry. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of integrating AI into vocational training for construction, identify the specific skills and competencies developed, and assess student satisfaction with AI-based training methods. A survey design was utilized to gather comprehensive data from participants involved in AI-based construction training. The sample size included 200 students from various technical institutions specializing in construction and engineering. Purposive sampling was used to select participants with prior experience in construction education. The case study was conducted at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that integrating AI into vocational training significantly enhanced students' technical skills, improved their understanding of AI applications in construction, and provided hands-on experience with AI tools and technologies. Students reported high levels of satisfaction with the AI-based training, noting its relevance and practical applications. It was recommended that vocational training institutions expand their AI curricula and provide continuous professional development for educators to ensure effective teaching and up-to-date knowledge transfer in AI technologies.
